Kristin & Caleb, Lake Lanier Wedding

I’ve had a handful of more intimate weddings this year, and it’s been such a treat to connect with the close friends and family throughout the day. I’ve photographed Kristin’s sister’s family over the years, and was over the top excited when Kristin and Caleb met with me to talk about their wedding photography. Their beautiful Lake Lanier wedding this past October was classic, and fit their personalities to a tee. The lake is extremely meaningful to Kristin and Caleb. It’s where many of their favorite memories are made, so it only made sense that they’d get married there. Caleb’s boat couldn’t make it to the wedding for their sail off, but hopefully we’ll be able to get some portraits made on the sailboat next year! Here are some of my favorites from their nautical day.

Kristin got ready for the big day at the Lake Lanier lodges. The morning had intense and dramatic window light which created some moody images. We made our way down to the beach for some portraits of the groomKristin made such a stunning bride in her fitted whimsical lace dressWe were just on time for the ceremony! The couple exchanged vows under a wooden arch decorated in floralsThe forest area gave us some open shade for portraits after an intimate ceremony with close family and friendsThe couple's nautical theme was executed perfectly. I love their knot centerpieces and elegant navy and gold accent colorsThe groom's father delivered a heartfelt prayer before eating their brunch receptionFirst dances are tearfulThe reception was low-key, and the couple played their favorite tunes with their phonesCaleb's mustang was their getaway car. Some unexpected decorating happened without him knowing.
