I’ve said it before, but I love meeting new parents. During newborn sessions, the mood always feels quiet, calm and relaxing, which is a little ironic since sometimes we can end up with lots of baby tears. Katie and Brent got to meet their daughter, Caroline, right before Thanksgiving, so it was a full house for the holidays this year. The second I walked into the nursery, I fell in love with the decor, including the floral wallpaper feature wall! Katie and Brent’s room was pouring with sunlight, and was my favorite spot to set up for portraits. It’s not just the people I love meeting, but the pets! I also got to meet their fur baby, Oakley, who my dog was super interested in when I returned home after their session. My favorites from our time together:
